The fully refurbished Karma Minoan on the idyllic Greek island of Crete opens its doors to Karma Group members in time for the stunning Mediterranean summer season.<\/p>\n

It was one of Crete’s best-known sons, Nikos Kazantzakis, who in his iconic novel, Zorba The Greek, reflected “Happy is the man, I thought, who, before dying, has the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea.\u201d For Karma Group’s members, an Aegean adventure is about to become a reality.<\/p>\n

Opening June 11th, the fully refurbished Karma Minion, situated only five minutes drive from the understated – yet artfully curated – cool of Agios Nikolaos, will be the 27th Karma Resort globally and the second in Greece after the group’s Pelikanos Estate on the island of Mykonos.<\/p>\n

An idyllic escape<\/h2>\n

The resort’s 23 sea-facing rooms are a study in the iconic Greek island aesthetic. Whitewash walls, Aegean blue interior touches and, of course, unparalleled views of the sea, combine to produce spaces that are as relaxing as they are breathtaking.<\/p>\n

Members will be impressed with the amenities, which include a pool and children’s pool, sea-facing yoga deck (and accompanying yogi), the Amphora restaurant which – like its namesake – carries an impressive volume of local and international wines, and a large sundeck with spectacular views of Crete’s mountainous interior.<\/p>\n

Salt scrubs and sails<\/h2>\n

Weary travellers looking for a little TLC can head to the venue’s Karma Spa, which will specialise in using local remedies and treatments such as olive oil facials, and Cretan sea salt scrubs to rejuvenate and refresh the body while Crete takes care of the soul.<\/p>\n

Those looking for a bit more adventure and perhaps to channel their inner Zorba can take a day trip (or two) on Karma Minoan’s very own 45ft catamaran, berthed in Agios Nikolaos’s stylish marina.<\/p>\n
